Noncommutative Geometry and the Structure of Space-time

I shall describe noncommutative geometry mainly as a change of paradigm for the classical notions of space and measurement of distances. I shall then explain how the new paradigm makes it possible to understand all the information from high energy experiments encapsulated as the standard model of particle physics as a subtle modification of the geometry of space-time on short scales. I will then describe four predictions of the theory.
