Institute Administrator [Temporary Cover] (Secondment)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract for the Institute Administrator (whilst the current post-holder is on a secondment). The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of finance and HR management, and managing the team to ensure an effective provision of services, advice and support to the 2,500 academics and programme organisers that visit the Institute each year.
An integral part of the INI is the Newton Gateway to Mathematics, which is the Knowledge Transfer initiative of the INI, working on event management projects across a wide spectrum of activities that involves research councils, academics from non-mathematical disciplines, business, industry, policy-makers etc. Although operationally independent, it works closely with the INI.
The post holder will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and a confident and pro-active approach to dealing with people at all levels of seniority. The post holder will be required to work independently on their own initiative, as well as being able to be part of and manage a team.
Interviews will take place during the week commencing 11 November 2019.
Fixed-term: 12 months.
