First-passage and Extreme Value Problems in Random Processes

we have been made aware of a very convincing phone scam that is focusing on our workshop participants. Participants may be contacted by phone by a firm called Business Travel Management to arrange accommodation for workshops and/or programmes.  This includes a request to enter credit card information.

Please note, INI will never contact you over the phone requesting card details. We take all payments via the University of Cambridge Online store

If you have been contacted by this company please contact us as soon as possible.

26th June 2006 to 30th June 2006

Organisers: Claude Godrèche (Saclay), Satya Majumdar (Orsay) and Sid Redner (Boston)

Supported by the European Commission, Sixth Framework Programme - Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses - MSCF-CT-2004-516558

Conference Theme

The conference will focus on fundamental issues of first-passage processes and extreme value statistics and their applications, and on related non-equilibrium statistical mechanical processes. This conference will help develop the connection between fundamental theory and phenomenology by bringing together probability theorists, mathematicians, and physicists to stimulate new collaborations and research initiatives.
