The Institute aspires to provide an excellent environment for delivering seminars and encouraging discussions, and wishes to share ideas and promote the mathematical sciences to a wider audience. To enhance dissemination, the Institute video records all formal seminars with the aim of building a comprehensive historical archive and international research facility.
The majority of conferences and lectures take place in Seminar Room 1, whilst Seminar Room 2 and the Discussion Room offer a more informal environment. Both of the Seminar Rooms are equipped with standard facilities (follow the links for further details).
To enable us provide an efficient service, all those giving seminars are encouraged to tell us in advance of their requirements.
All those delivering seminars are asked to submit a copy of their presentation to the Audio Visual Technician, who looks after the AV equipment in the seminar rooms and adds the recording of the seminar to the website. Adobe PDF or Microsoft PowerPoint files can be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or uploaded using the web form. Transparencies and lecture notes can be handed to Reception or the computer staff in room F6 for computer scanning.
Presenters will be asked to sign a Permission Form giving the Institute permission to record and distribute their seminar.
Please note: Seminars need to be booked with at least 3 working days notice to guarantee video recording.
If you have any queries relating to audio visual facilities in the Institute, the AV Technician can be contacted in room F6, or by emailing email@example.com
