The Institute provides a range of facilities to support visiting scholars during their visit.

Audio Visual

All Institute seminars and lectures are, with the permission of speakers, advertised in advance, streamed live and made available on the web in perpetuity. Thanks to a one-off equipment grant from EPSRC, the Institute has state-of the-art streaming and video-conference facilities. Full details are available on the Audio Visual Resources webpages

The computing department offers a wide range of facilities and services to meet the computing requirements of staff and participants. The Computing Facilities webpages give full details of IT provision and how to get help.

The INI library is available for all participants to use and the library enquiry desk is normally staffed between 09:15-14:45 Monday to Friday. Access during evenings and weekends is via door access card. The INI Library webpage give full details of the services on offer.

Video Conferencing

Equipped to produce high level quality live sound and image broadcasts, the Institute Video Conferencing facilities encourage participants to use the latest voice and video technology to communicate and collaborate with one another. In addition to broadcasting its own lectures, the Institute uses its facilities to provide distinguished scientists who are unable to attend in person with the opportunity to lecture during programmes or workshops. These interactive sessions are held in the Institute’s lecture theatre, with question and answer sessions between the audience and the speaker at a different location. Full details are available on the Video Conferencing webpages.
