Abstract

Spinorial geometry techniques can be used to classify the near-horizon geometries of supersymmetric black holes in String/M-theory. I will illustrate this by presenting the classification of near horizon geometries in IIB supergravity coupled to a non-zero self-dual 5-form. The resulting geometries are generically described by a restricted Calabi-Yau with (hidden) torsion structure. Examples of such solutions will be considered, including a large class of AdS solutions.
