Travel Information:

Participants are asked to make their own travel arrangements from Cambridge to Edinburgh.

Two options are:

1. Train from Cambridge Station [CBR] to Edinburgh Waverley Station [EDB].

The cost is approximately 100 round-trip and the trip takes about 5 hours. The train station is less than 15 minutes walk from Edinburgh University or a cab (a taxi rank is located inside the station next to Platform 11) to the University will cost around 4.

Tickets can be bought online in advance at National Rail.co.uk.

2. Train (National Rail.co.uk) or bus (National Express.com) from Cambridge to Stansted Airport and fly to Edinburgh.

The cost is approximately 80 to 110 and the flight takes approximately 1.5 hours. The airport is a 20 minute drive west of the city centre and a cab from the airport to the University should cost 15-20, depending on the time of day.
