Theme of Workshop:
The workshop will be dedicated to the relationship between the theory of integrable discrete systems and (linear and nonlinear) special functions and orthogonal polynomials, together with their applications. We expect to represent topics such as:
- integrable lattice equations and their solutions
- discrete Painlevé equations and q-Painlevé equations
- elliptic special functions and integrals
- special functions associated to Riemann surfaces
- orthogonal polynomials and associated special functions
- hypergeometric series
Speakers will include:
Andy Hone (Kent), Evelyne Hubert (INRIA Sophia Antipolis, France), Alexander Its (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, USA), Kenji Kajiwara (Kyushu, Japan ), Erik Koelink (Radboud Universiteit, Nijmegen, Netherlands), Elizabeth Mansfield (Kent), Marta Mazzocco (Loughborough), Hinke Osinga (Bristol), Emma Previato (Boston, USA), Mizan Rahman (Carleton University, Canada), Eric Rains (UC Davis, USA), Alfred Ramani (Ecole Polytechnique, France), Simon Ruijsenaars (Leeds), Michael Schlosser (Vienna, Austria), Jasper Stokman (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Walter van Assche (Leuven, Belgium), Claude Viallet (Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France).
