The School aims at providing an introductory background on current topics of research in Free Boundary problems, that could serve the students during their stay for the Programme at Newton Institute. Among the many trends of research in FBs, we have chosen to propose views that cover the different basic aspects: applications in several directions, mathematical theory, as well as numerical studies. The level of the presentations will be mainly at the early post-doc level, with some space for advanced topics.

The Registration Package includes admission to all seminars, lunches and refreshments on the days that lectures take place (Monday – Friday), wine reception and conference dinner, but does not include other meals or accommodation.
The Accommodation Package includes a registration fee, bed and breakfast accommodation at Churchill College from the evening of Sunday 5 January 2014 to breakfast on Saturday 11 January 2014, together with lunches and refreshments during the days that lectures take place (Monday – Friday). The conference dinner is also included, but no other evening meals.
Participants on the Accommodation Package or Registration Package, including organisers and speakers, are automatically included in this event. For all remaining participants who would like to attend, such as Visiting Fellows, programme participants or their guests, the above charge will apply.
Lunch will be served at Wolfson Court in the Cafeteria from 12:30 to 13:30 on days that lectures take place.
Participants are free to make their own arrangements for dinner.
The Conference Dinner will take place at 19:30 on Wednesday 8 January at Gonville and Caius College - please see the menu for details. Dress is smart casual. Participants on the Accommodation Package or Registration Package, including organisers and speakers, are automatically included in this event. All remaining participants are encouraged to attend for the price of £45 each.
