Last year (2007) the IUTAM Symposium Euler250 marked the 250th anniversary of the publication of Euler's equations by bringing together the world's leading authorities on the influence these idealised equations have had on fluid dynamics and scientific thought. This short workshop will be one of the first opportunities to discuss what has been accomplished since. Emphasis will be on recent numerical advances, data analysis suggested by mathematics and the prospects for understanding their relevance to turbulence described by the viscous Navier-Stokes equations.
