Abstract

I will consider a heat equation subject to integral constraints on the total mass and the barycenter, instead of more common boundary conditions. The natural operator theoretical setting is that of a space of distributions on the torus. By variational methods I will show well-posedness and some relevant spectral properties of this problem.
