Lutz, J (Iowa State University)
Monday 02 July 2012, 09:30-10:30

Seminar Room 1, Newton Institute

Abstract

We discuss ways in which Turing's then-unpublished ``A Note on Normal Numbers'' foreshadows and can still guide research in our time.

This research was supported in part by NSF Grant 0652569. Part of the work was done while the author was on sabbatical at Caltech and the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
