The east model: a case study from glassy dynamics

Presented by:

Wednesday 26th March 2008 - 09:30 to 10:30
INI Seminar Room 1

The East model is a prototype of a class of spin models widely used in statistical physics to describe some key aspects of the dynamics of glasses. Here I will review some of its features together with a survey of recent results and techniques from the point of view of MCMC.
