The Pfaffian-Grassmannian correspondence via Landau-Ginzburg models

Presented by:
E Segal
Date:
Wednesday 6th April 2011 - 11:30 to 12:30
Venue:
INI Seminar Room 1
Abstract:
The Pfaffian-Grassmannian correspondence is an example of a derived equivalence between two Calabi-Yau threefolds that are not birational. Hori and Tong have given a physical explanation of the correspondence, I'll describe some work-in-progress that is trying to interpret their work mathematically, using categories of B-branes in Landau-Ginzburg models.
