Presented by:
S Miller Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
Date:
Tuesday 7th February 2012 - 12:00 to 13:00
Venue:
INI Seminar Room 1
Abstract:
I'll give an overview of automorphic forms beyond SL(2), explaining some of the highlights of the theory and several of its fundamental unresolved challenges. I will keep to the analytic side, emphasizing the impact of the Langlands' program and also some results which have been useful in string theory.
