Can you see the sound of a drum?

Presented by:

Tuesday 12th July 2016 - 09:30 to 10:00
INI Seminar Room 1
We discuss planar networks and harmonic functions on them, and in particular two reconstruction problems for "hidden" networks:
1. To what extent can one reconstruct a network from boundary measurements?
2. Can one reconstruct conductances from a ``harmonic embedding" of the network?
