Programme Theme:

This workshop will provide a pedagogical introduction to applications of geometry and topology in the study of fluid flows. Specialists in the field will give a series of lectures on basic mathematical notions and novel techniques useful to tackle outstanding problems in fluid dynamics and magnetohydrodynamics from a geometric and topological viewpoint

The NATO ASI will take place at the Newton Institute and accommodation for participants will be provided at Wolfson Court. The accommodation package (10-23 September) costs £585, and includes accommodation, breakfast and evening meals plus lunch and refreshments during the days that lectures take place. Limited financial support may be available for those from NATO, Partner countries and Mediterranean Dialogue countries. Numbers will be restricted to about 80 participants.
