INI is pleased to announce a new initiative of retreats at the Institute.  INI retreats offers mathematical scientists a welcoming and conducive space to re-immerse themselves in research or make progress on a piece of work away from usual commitments.  Researchers will be based in INI’s bespoke building in Cambridge and provided with office space and accommodation in INI flats. Individuals or small groups can spend one week at INI during the periods listed below.

The INI retreat programme is open to UK-based researchers or small groups with at least one researcher employed by a UK HEI or similar. The number of spaces offered is subject to availability of offices and accommodation.

The INI retreat is aimed at mathematical scientists from across the UK, regardless of whether their area of research is covered by current INI programmes.

The periods currently available are of one week duration and participants are expected to stay for the whole week. INI will provide desk space at the Institute and 6 nights accommodation. Participants should note that accommodation will be allocated per availability and no choice will be offered.  INI is unable to fund any travel costs or subsistence (per diems) and these costs are the responsibility of participants. We regret that this programme cannot fund partners, families or caring support.
