  • Computer and wireless access are provided for your own use. Your login details must not be shared with anyone. Abuse is viewed very seriously.
  • Do not print documents needlessly.
  • Be restrained in your use of diskspace.
  • Attempting to gain any unauthorised access is regarded as extreme abuse and may result in legal action.

CUDN and JANET Rules

Use of the Institute’s network is also governed by CUDN and JANET rules and conditions.

The Cambridge University Data Network (CUDN) provides the high-speed connection between the Institute’s network, other University sites, the Joint Academic Network (JANET) and the rest of the world.

JANET is the very high speed backbone connecting UK academic and research sites.
