Printing Guidelines

Printing is expensive. Please use the printers conservatively.

In particular:

  • Do not print something unless you really need it in hard copy form
  • Preview online before printing
  • Proofread as much as possible before you print out drafts
  • Print in black&white unless you really need colour

Note: Colour pages cost nearly ten times as much as black&white.

The Print Spooling System

All files to be printed go into a central spooling system and jobs are printed out first-come, first-served.
