The welfare of our visitors and staff is very important to us.

What we ask of you.

Prior to arrival:

  • If possible, bring masks and personal hand sanitiser.

On arrival:

  • Check your temperature using the wall-mounted digital thermometer beside the main entrance.

During your visit:

  • Use the sanitisers provided when using shared equipment.
  • Be mindful of the needs of others.
  • Routinely check your temperature (see above) whilst working at the Institute, particularly if feeling unwell.
  • The mandatory requirement for face masks has now ceased, however personal preference related to mask wearing is supported.

If you are unwell:

  • … and have tested positive for COVID-19: do not come into the Institute for five days. You can work from home if and when you feel well enough to do so.
  • … and have not tested for COVID-19: do not come into the Institute if you have a high temperature, other respiratory symptoms, or do not otherwise feel well enough to work. Resume normal activities once the temperature or other symptoms have gone, and you feel well enough to do so.

Please note:

  • Individual needs relating to COVID-19 will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
  • Whilst the Institute will always try to assist, it may not always be possible to provide additional accommodation as a result of a positive COVID-19 test.
  • Visitors are encouraged to liaise with the Programmes and Workshops team (programmes@newton.ac.uk) in the first instance if additional requirements become necessary.
