Directorship of the Isaac Newton Institute and NM Rothschild & Sons Professorship of Mathematics

The tenure of David Abrahams as Director of the Isaac Newton Institute and NM Rothschild & Sons Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge comes to an end on 30/9/2021 and the process to find his replacement, to take up appointment on 1 October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, has begun.

Candidates will have an outstanding research record of international stature in mathematical sciences and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence. The successful candidate will also be the Director of the Isaac Newton Institute, a national institute which promotes research of the highest international quality in the mathematical sciences for the benefit of the UK community, through major visitor programmes in selected, often interdisciplinary fields.
