Applications are currently invited for the role of Interim Deputy Director of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences. The appointment provides a superb opportunity for interacting with leading mathematical scientists from around the world.

The successful applicant will support the Director, Professor Ulrike Tillmann, in all matters connected with the academic work of the Institute. The Institute is renowned internationally for its residential visitor programmes that span the whole of the mathematical sciences. The Director and Deputy Director provide academic leadership, supported by a 25-strong team of staff in the Institute’s dedicated building located in the University’s Centre for Mathematical Sciences.

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent in the mathematical sciences, broadly defined and should have an interest in and empathy with a broad range of mathematics and/or its applications.
