The School of Mathematics can provide short term support for one scientist for up to 6 months. We offer a visiting position with travel, accommodation and subsistence.
The ongoing war and resulting humanitarian crisis in Ukraine has forced many scientists to leave their homes. The INI would like to do everything in its power to help alleviate this suffering. With this in mind, we have created the following “Solidarity list” to connect individuals and institutions wishing to offer assistance with those who are urgently in need of it. We hope that this will provide a helpful tool for those affected by the crisis.
Please email communications@newton.ac.uk to suggest whatever aid you are able to offer. Your submission will then be added to this page. This may take the form of provision of office space, subsistence, housing, short term fellowships/positions, or other means not mentioned here. Those affected by this conflict and in need of the support offered should contact individuals directly.

The Department of Mathematics can provide visiting positions for researchers in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Some funds could be made available to support local and travel expenses by the Department. In addition some extra funds available, which are tied to particular research areas and are associated with research grants.
We could host one scientist and give him/her accommodation and subsistence for up to six months as well as support to look for a suitable academic link at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico).
We can offer limited short term support (up to 6 months) for a PhD student if an appropriate academic mentor is identified. We may be able to assist in other stays tied to research grants.
I will help in whatever way I can. I am a teaching, education, communication and knowledge brokering specialist. I may have accommodation to offer, depending on circumstances.
The Centre of Topological Data Analysis at the University of Oxford uses tools from topology, geometry, algebra, statistics and computing to study data science problems.
We welcome a visitor for up to six months. We can offer travel, accommodation and subsistence.
We can take people into our home: 1 double room two further bedrooms, one a single, one possibly with up to three beds for children. Shared facilities. Happy to take in a family. Can take people in for at least 6 months, probably longer.
We will be away the month of April, but my son could arrange entry to the house if accommodation is required before the end of April.
The ICMS can offer several months of practical support and workspace for scientists from the Ukraine who are seeking refuge in the UK, especially in the Edinburgh area.
