Since 2003, the community of sea ice scientists within the UK has met annually to informally discuss work on sea ice and allied areas with the support of the UK Challenger Society. The meeting typically attracts remote sensers, laboratory and field scientists, and a strong contingent of sea ice modellers (theoretical low order models up to full climate models) and has covered such areas as sea ice biology, chemistry, physics, dynamics, and its relation to local, regional and global climate. There are talks, posters, and discussion sessions. This year, we are combining the UKSIG with the INI workshop “Multiscale modelling of ice characteristics and behaviour”. It will take place on 15th September 2017

If you wish to attend the UKSIG please contact programmes@newton.ac.uk before 10th July 2017.
